Harbor
Pages, Numbers, and Keynote files, ready for anyone.
Harbor turns your iWork files into Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, right on your Mac.
Simple, and made to feel at home
Drop it in. Done.
Drag a file onto the Harbor window or the menu-bar icon. Harbor quietly uses Pages, Numbers, or Keynote in the background to make a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint copy.
Help on your iPhone, too.
iPhone can’t convert files the way a Mac can, so Harbor does the next best thing. It shows you a preview of the file and walks you through sending it as Word, with an Open in Pages button to get you there.
Feels right at home.
Harbor opens to a simple status screen with one sentence and two buttons: Convert Files and More. It uses the system menus and the Share sheet you already know, and it supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, and Reduce Motion from the start.
How it works
On Mac
- Open Harbor, or click the lighthouse in your menu bar.
- Drag your Pages, Numbers, or Keynote files onto it.
- Harbor saves Word, Excel, and PowerPoint copies, ready to share.
On iPhone
- Share an iWork file to Harbor, or open it in the app.
- Check the preview, then follow the short “How to Send as Word” steps.
- Tap Open in Pages to finish, and send it on its way.
Privacy
Harbor doesn’t ask you to make an account. There’s nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.
If something goes wrong, Harbor can put together a problem report for you. It leaves out your private details, and it’s only sent if you choose to send it.
Coming later
I’m working on Harbor Plus, an optional paid add-on, and a Tip Jar for anyone who’d like to support the app. Both are coming soon. Down the road, I plan to make Harbor one purchase that works on both your iPhone and your Mac.
